The Technical Change Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting the IT governance framework, specifically assisting the Senior Technical Change Manager in preparing, documenting, and following up on items discussed in Technical Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings. This role involves thorough analysis and evaluation of proposed technical changes, ensuring compliance with established procedures and contributing to the overall risk management and governance processes.

Here is a taster of what you can expect in this role

  • Change Proposal Analysis: Assist in the initial review and analysis of change requests submitted to the Technical CAB. Prepare summaries, risk assessments, and initial recommendations for the Senior Technical Change Manager.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of CAB meetings, decisions, and outcomes. Develop and distribute minutes and follow-up actions promptly.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Act as a liaison between the Senior Technical Change Manager, IT project teams, and business units to gather necessary information and clarify change proposals.
  • Meeting Preparation: Coordinate and organise CAB meetings, including scheduling, sending reminders, and preparing agendas to ensure efficient and effective meetings.
  • Tracking and Monitoring: Monitor progress on approved changes, maintaining a tracking system to ensure deadlines are met and expected results are achieved. Alert the Senior Technical Change Manager to any delays or issues.
  • Compliance Checks: Conduct compliance and post-implementation reviews to ensure changes have been executed as approved and adhere to all regulatory and internal policy requirements.
  • Process Improvement: Support the Senior Technical Change Manager in identifying opportunities for process improvement within the change management process. Assist in implementing new procedures or tools to enhance the governance and efficiency of change management.
     

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of experience in IT change management, project support, or a similar role.
  • Understanding of IT infrastructure and operations.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in documentation and data analysis tools.
  • Experience in managing Change in Servicenow.
  • Certifications relevant to IT governance, such as ITIL Expert, COBIT, or CISA.
  • Worked within a similar sized enterprise in a business/customer facing role
  • Strong relationship management.
