Accommodation Manager | Hinterland Hotel / Motel
Are you a proactive, highly organised leader ready to manage both our accommodation operations and essential venue administration? The Hinterland Hotel / Motel is seeking an experienced Accommodation Manager to drive guest services while executing crucial Venue Support Officer duties.
The Hinterland Hotel / Motel is a trusted local landmark offering accommodation alongside our busy hospitality operation. We need a leader who can manage high standards of guest service while taking ownership of the venue's vital financial, data, and compliance systems.
A day in the life of an Accommodation Manager:
- Drive occupancy and revenue through rate management and exceptional guest relations.
- Oversee the Housekeeping team, ensuring motel rooms are maintained to immaculate standards.
- Manage financial reconciliations, POS registers, and system data integrity.
- Take ownership of stock control and report cash and stock variances.
- Manage compliance, including team VISA obligations, and assist in achieving expected audit results.
- Work flexible shifts, including weekends, to provide essential leadership during peak times.
Inherent requirements:
This is a hands-on role that involves manual handling and lifting as part of regular duties (e.g. moving stock, kegs, and deliveries). Applicants must have the ability to perform physical tasks safely and efficiently.
About you:
- Proven experience in hotel/motel management, including front office and housekeeping oversight.
- Exceptional attention to detail with strong skills in financial reconciliation, reporting, and data integrity.
- Experience with stock control, stocktakes, and managing cash/stock variances.
- Highly organised leader who can ensure full VISA and compliance obligations are met across the team.
- You possess a current RSA and are available for varied shifts, including weekends.
