Casual Chef | Mermaid Waters Hotel | Dream big with us!
The newly renovated Mermaid Waters Hotel in Queensland is seeking a passionate and qualified Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. We are looking for an experienced culinary professional who takes pride in creating exceptional dishes and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
This role requires good availability for flexible, rotational shifts across days, nights, weekends and public holidays. If you have proven kitchen skills, excellent organizational abilities and are ready to contribute to an exciting new menu and venue, apply to the Mermaid Waters Hotel today!
A day in the life of a Chef:
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to deliver high quality dishes that “WOW” our guests
- Contribute positively to our culture which is centred around safety and hygiene, keeping the guest experience at the heart of everything you do
- Maintain a consistent standard of high quality and well presented dishes that align with the ALH standard
What do we need from you
About you:
- You have great experience working in a fast paced kitchen and hold necessary trade cooking qualifications
- You understand that the recipe for an exceptional guest experience contains the perfect mix of passion, precision and productivity
- Strong organisation and communication skills to create the best possible outcomes for our guests and the team
- You’ll be yourself and come as you are - ALH is known for its people
Inherent requirements:
This is a hands-on role that involves manual handling and lifting as part of regular duties (e.g. moving stock, kegs, and deliveries). Applicants must have the ability to perform physical tasks safely and efficiently.
