The Project Manager - Compliance will coordinate compliance management for the organisation across each pillar, program and project (with a strong emphasis on the One Endeavour transformation program). The role is a line 2 role that triages, enables, coordinates and oversees compliance activity rather than assessing or implementing within the program; this responsibility lies with the program managers.  The role will build and continually strengthen the organisation’s project compliance capabilities with an objective of ensuring that programs are compliant with their obligations on day 1 delivery and throughout the project development lifecycle.

Focus on Endeavour's transformation program and be involved in a wide range of programs and projects that have diverse business stakeholders. This role will work with the central program team and other second line functions (e.g project risk, finance, group risk and compliance) towards developing a mature program management framework for governing programs and projects, while also gaining a strong understanding of Endeavour's business, purpose, and strategy.

Here is a taster of what you can expect in this role

  • Help establish, mature and maintain Endeavour’s project compliance frameworks and support implementation focused on risk.
  • Work across the programs to ensure that compliance triage, analysis, planning and testing are suitably established to ensure that obligations are met appropriate to the programs’ compliance context and the organisation’s risk appetite.
  • Obligations identification, risk assessment/analysis, project maturity and controls assessment, documentation and reporting - this will be done working closely with other senior risk colleagues and partnering with program, project and central program office stakeholders, and will include facilitating discussion and workshop sessions.
  • Help establish a centre of excellence and support to deliver strong project outcomes.
  • Working collaboratively with project risk, group risk and compliance and Endeavour’s project management disciplines, proactively contribute to the development and continuous improvement of Endeavour’s project risk and compliance management and broader project delivery frameworks, strategies and methodologies.
  • Working collaboratively with project risk, group risk and compliance and Endeavour’s project management disciplines, assist with continuing to embed risk and project management into our culture and ways of working, including identifying new and innovative ways of approaching risk, assurance, compliance and project management tailored to the business audience.
  • Educate  program and project managers to understand that they are required to, develop strategies to proactively address obligations and associated risks and their subsequent mitigations through early identification of risks and the implementation of a risk management strategy.
  • Become the go-to leader of project compliance management for key programs and projects e.g. our OneEndeavour Transformation program
  • Sit alongside the program or project’s leadership teams to support their compliance management strategies and enable uplift in capabilities across their teams.
     

Qualifications

Now let’s talk about you

  • 4 years of experience working within a risk compliance or assurance role in a consulting/advisory firm or established corporate function, with a sizeable or exclusive project risk or assurance portfolio

        OR

  • 6 years of blended project management experience with significant involvement in risk/compliance/assurance management as part of those roles
  • Technical skills in / knowledge of risk management fundamentals including risk and controls assessment and business process reviews
  • Experience with the preparation of internal reports
  • Tertiary qualification in business/commerce or other relevant discipline.
  • Retail and/or FMCG experience (desirable)
  • Experience with data analytics, reporting and visualisation tools (desirable)
  • Experience with G suite (desirable).
