The Finance & Accounting Analyst role will help support the Pinnacle International & Wholesale Team, a growing part of the overall Pinnacle business responsible for domestic wholesale and international external sales.

This role will report to the Finance Manager (Pinnacle International and Wholesale), and partner with the Head of International and Wholesale.

A dynamic role within a growth area of business covering commercial partnering, financial reporting and process improvement, requiring close teamwork with sales, operations and other stakeholders.

Here is a taster of what you can expect in this role:

  • Support and partner the Head of International and Wholesale and supporting leadership team in the development of the International and Wholesale plan. 
  • Drive the month-end process for the International Wine Business.
  • Identify and effectively report balance sheet risk through the monthly preparation and review of general ledger reconciliations and drive improvements across the group.
  • Prepare and analyst the annual operating expense and capital budgets, and updated monthly forecasts.
  • Driving and leading the implementation of opportunities for enhanced reporting and facilitating stakeholder adoption.
  • Leveraging the newly installed Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power BI to drive efficiencies and improve integrity of financial and operating results.
  • Proactively business partnering with site leaders to analyse monthly results and provide insights to improve performance and spend management.
  • Other duties as required.
     

Qualifications

Now let’s talk about you

  • Prior experience as a Financial Accountant, or similar, (1-3 years).
  • Experience working in a Commercial or Sales finance function.
  • Experience within Retail, FMCG and/or liquor industry, desirable.
  • Degree qualification and CA/CPA/CIMA or undertaking
  • Systems & Tools - ERP (D365, SAP), BPC, GCP and Power BI experience, desirable.
  • Advanced Data foundation Excel/Google Sheets capability.
  • Ability to business partner effectively to drive outcomes.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills (both written and verbal).
  • Ability to operate with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Retail, FMCG and/or liquor industry experience (desirable).
