As an Assistant Category Manager for Ultra Convenience, you'll be responsible for leading the end to end pricing & promotional planning rhythm, while working in close partnership with the Category Manager, Marketing, E-Commerce and Endeavour X teams.
You will build and manage successful supplier relationships and have an intimate understanding of competitors, brands, consumer & shopper trends, along with customer focused promotional strategies that drive sustainable growth.
The role will be required to have a strong knowledge of the category and a confidence in leveraging insights and data to achieve key sales and profit metrics.

Here is a taster of what you can expect in this role:
- Design, manage & administer the price beat program for Dan Murphy’s on Ultra Convenience.
- Continuous monitoring of competitor pricing on Ultra Convenience and corresponding shelf prices.
- Work with key stakeholders (other ACMs, Trade Planning Manager, E-Commerce & Marketing teams) to establish, manage and deliver an Ultra Convenience-specific Trade Plan.
- Work with Range Category Managers to manage the addition/removal of products from the platform as needed.
- Partner with Pinnacle on a customer plan that grows the share of Pinnacle and step changes the customer knowledge and appetite for these brands.
- Drive best practices and process improvements including automation of existing processes supporting Ultra Convenience at Endeavour.
- Ongoing analysis of range and promotional performance to drive optimisations. Participate in weekly and monthly reporting rhythms to share performance with the broader business.
- Support expansion of Dan Murphy’s on to new Ultra Convenience platforms.
- Engage and Inspire the team(s) with positive actions and behaviours
- Seek out ways to improve, share those ideas with the team by role modeling our value and ways of working and driving the improvements.
Now let’s talk about you:
- Experience in promotions management (2+ Years) in a multi channel buying environment preferred.
- Understanding and application of core category management skills, including leveraging customer data & insights.
- You enjoy processes, process improvement and managing data
- Proven delivery of a P&L.
- Understanding of channel management strategy.
- Experience working with suppliers or stakeholders to achieve joint business goals and outcomes.
- Intermediate to advanced excel skills is essential.
- Knowledgeable and confident in the world of Drinks is desirable.
- Tertiary qualifications in business and/or marketing preferred.
