Assistant Manager | Blue Cattle Dog Hotel
Are you a hospitality professional ready to step into a leadership role at one of St Clair’s busiest and most iconic venues? The Blue Cattle Dog Hotel is looking for a high-energy, floor-focused Assistant Manager who thrives in a high-volume environment and knows how to keep a large crew moving in sync.
"The Dog" is a total engine room. Whether it's a massive UFC Sunday in the sports bar, a bustling family dinner in the bistro, or managing our high-performing gaming lounge, there is never a dull moment. We are looking for a leader who loves being in the thick of it, someone who can command the floor, connect with our regulars, and maintain gold-class standards.
A day in the life of an Assistant Manager:
- Get to know the locals so well they think you’re part of the crew
- Support the Publican to keep the pub running smoothly, safely, and with a great vibe
- Learn the ropes of being a Publican while leading a team of absolute hospo legends
- Handle hiccups before they turn into headaches
- Bring the energy, the service, and the smiles every single shift
Inherent requirements:
This is a hands-on role that involves manual handling and lifting as part of regular duties (e.g. moving stock, kegs, and deliveries). Applicants must have the ability to perform physical tasks safely and efficiently.
About you:
- You’ve been around the bar, bistro, or gaming room block, and maybe already done some supervising
- You’ve learned from great managers and now you’re ready to step up
- You’ve got the confidence, pride, and people skills to be the face of the pub when the boss is away
- You’ve got a current RSA and RCG/ARCG as per state requirements
