Assistant Manager | Castle Hill Tavern
Base salary $80,000 + Super + Bonus scheme + Group wide discounts
We’re on the hunt for our next Assistant Manager to help keep the Castle Hill Tavern buzzing and loved by the locals.
Castle Hill Tavern ("The Tav") is the original local pub of the Hills District, famous for its friendly, efficient service and vibrant community atmosphere. This multi-room venue features a busy Family Bistro, a popular beer garden, TAB facilities, and two dedicated function spaces for private and corporate events. With a packed weekly schedule of trivia, karaoke, and live music, it’s the region's go-to destination for entertainment.
A day in the life of an Assistant Manager:
- Get to know the locals so well they think you’re part of the crew
- Support the Publican to keep the pub running smoothly, safely, and with a great vibe
- Learn the ropes of being a Publican while leading a team of absolute hospo legends
- Handle hiccups before they turn into headaches
- Bring the energy, the service, and the smiles every single shift
Inherent requirements:
This is a hands-on role that involves manual handling and lifting as part of regular duties (e.g. moving stock, kegs, and deliveries). Applicants must have the ability to perform physical tasks safely and efficiently.
About you:
- You’ve been around the bar, bistro, or gaming room block, and maybe already done some supervising
- You’ve learned from great managers and now you’re ready to step up
- You’ve got the confidence, pride, and people skills to be the face of the pub when the boss is away
- You’ve got a current RSA and RCG as per state requirements
