Assistant Manager | Springwood Hotel
The Springwood Hotel is in the middle of a massive transformation, and we’re searching for a powerhouse Assistant Manager to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with our Publican during this exciting rebuild.
This isn't your average "manager on duty" gig. With renovations currently underway across the entire site, including a brand-new sports bar, upgraded accommodation, five refreshed bars, and a 200-seat restaurant, we are rebuilding an icon. We need a leader who is ready to help shape a flagship venue before the doors even fully reopen.
We’re on the hunt for a future Publican: someone who lives for the buzz of a launch, thrives in the middle of the action, and takes immense pride in running a tight, high-energy floor.
A day in the life of an Assistant Manager:
- Get to know the locals so well they think you’re part of the crew
- Support the Publican to keep the pub running smoothly, safely, and with a great vibe
- Learn the ropes of being a Publican while leading a team of absolute hospo legends
- Handle hiccups before they turn into headaches
- Bring the energy, the service, and the smiles every single shift
About you:
- You’ve been around the bar, bistro, or gaming room block, and maybe already done some supervising
- You’ve learned from great managers and now you’re ready to step up
- You’ve got the confidence, pride, and people skills to be the face of the pub when the boss is away
- Current industry RSA/RSG, RMLV and Approved Manager qualifications
Inherent requirements:
This is a hands-on role that involves manual handling and lifting as part of regular duties (e.g. moving stock, kegs, and deliveries). Applicants must have the ability to perform physical tasks safely and efficiently.
