Assistant Manager | The Blue Mountain Hotel
We’re on the hunt for our next Assistant Manager to help keep the The Blue Mountain Hotel buzzing and loved by the locals.
Boasting sprawling views of the Lockyer Valley and a heritage-listed charm, the Blue Mountain Hotel is looking for a high-energy Assistant Manager to join the team! Recently renovated, this Harlaxton landmark features a busy bistro, an expansive alfresco deck, and a thriving sports bar and functions business.
We are seeking a hands-on leader who can balance premium event management with high-volume pub operations while delivering the "health resort" level hospitality we’re famous for. If you’re ready to drive performance at one of Toowoomba’s most scenic venues, we want to hear from you!
A day in the life of an Assistant Manager:
- Get to know the locals so well they think you’re part of the crew
- Support the Publican to keep the pub running smoothly, safely, and with a great vibe
- Learn the ropes of being a Publican while leading a team of absolute hospo legends
- Handle hiccups before they turn into headaches
- Bring the energy, the service, and the smiles every single shift
Inherent requirements:
This is a hands-on role that involves manual handling and lifting as part of regular duties (e.g. moving stock, kegs, and deliveries). Applicants must have the ability to perform physical tasks safely and efficiently.
About you:
- You’ve been around the bar, bistro, or gaming room block, and maybe already done some supervising
- You’ve learned from great managers and now you’re ready to step up
- You’ve got the confidence, pride, and people skills to be the face of the pub when the boss is away
- You’ve got a current RSA and RSG/RCG as per state requirements
