We’re on the hunt for our next Assistant Manager to help keep the Varsity Lakes Tavern buzzing and loved by the locals.
Varsity Lakes Tavern is your favourite local where the energy's always just right, the conversations flow easy, and every visit feels like coming home. From our Grillhouse Bistro dishing out quality steaks and pub classics, to our revamped Sports Bar buzzing with multiple events and big-screen action, and our dedicated TAB area built for the ultimate sports enthusiast, we've created a space where everyone can experience the true Gold Coast lifestyle – relaxed, connected, and always ready for a good time. Open till 4am.
A day in the life of an Assistant Manager:
- Get to know the locals so well they think you’re part of the crew
- Support the Publican to keep the pub running smoothly, safely, and with a great vibe
- Learn the ropes of being a Publican while leading a team of absolute hospo legends
- Handle hiccups before they turn into headaches
- Bring the energy, the service, and the smiles every single shift
About you:
- You’ve been around the bar, bistro, or gaming room block, and maybe already done some supervising
- You’ve learned from great managers and now you’re ready to step up
- You’ve got the confidence, pride, and people skills to be the face of the pub when the boss is away
- You’ve got a current RSA and RSG/RCG as per state requirements
