Assistant Manager | Western Hotel
Base Salary $80,000 + Super + Bonus Scheme + Group wide discounts
We’re on the hunt for our next Assistant Manager to help keep the Western Hotel buzzing and loved by the locals.
Paying homage to the former owner’s father who’s well-known in the community, Ian’s Western Hotel has undergone recent renovations and renaming to now be known simply as Western Hotel.
We are a warm and welcoming venue with a relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff and great value for money. The Hotel is looking great with comfortable and modern decor, a new menu and the biggest bottle shop in Port Augusta. Whether it's after work drinks, a punt on the TAB or catching up with friends over a pub meal, we have something for everyone.
A day in the life of an Assistant Manager:
- Get to know the locals so well they think you’re part of the crew
- Support the Publican to keep the pub running smoothly, safely, and with a great vibe
- Learn the ropes of being a Publican while leading a team of absolute hospo legends
- Handle hiccups before they turn into headaches
- Bring the energy, the service, and the smiles every single shift
Inherent requirements:
This is a hands-on role that involves manual handling and lifting as part of regular duties (e.g. moving stock, kegs, and deliveries). Applicants must have the ability to perform physical tasks safely and efficiently.
About you:
- You’ve been around the bar, bistro, or gaming room block, and maybe already done some supervising
- You’ve learned from great managers and now you’re ready to step up
- You’ve got the confidence, pride, and people skills to be the face of the pub when the boss is away
- You’ve got a current RSA, RSG and RP Badge as per state requirements
