The Category Insights Specialist requires a unique skillset to understand customer behaviour and support our Merchandise/Buying teams through the analysis of data, identifying actionable insights and develop category strategy's that deliver improved customer experiences and sustainable growth for the category.

Here is a taster of what you can expect in this role:
- Using data you'll explain business performance, identify challenges and opportunities and provide recommendations to drive growth.
- Ensure the customer is at the centre of decision making within Endeavour Group through the provision of compelling data-led insights.
- Research customer behaviours using data sources and provide the business with a deeper understanding of customer needs.
- Provide recommendations and guidance to stakeholders on how to best meet customer needs via range, experience, innovation and other category-based initiatives.
- Work with numerous cross-functional teams to deliver insights that inform business processes and deliver consistency of insight across the business.
- Identify cross-category trend leadership opportunities and create business cases for major product innovation initiatives.
Now let’s talk about you:
- Strong analytical and numerical skills gained through experience in previous analytical role (a minimum of 5 years) - e.g. previous retail and/or supplier category analytics role.
- An understanding of category management and buying principles.
- Degree qualified in business or related discipline
- Extensive experience using sales and customer data sets (Qual. & Quant) - e.g. Quantium Checkout, Nielsen, Aztec, U&As etc.
- Ability to tell stories with data and engage others through data visualisation
- Proven ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders
- Confident communicator (verbal and written)
- Strong aptitude and curiosity for problem solving
- Attention to detail
- Previous experience in the drinks industry is ideal.
