About the Role
Full-Time Chef | Brook Hotel
If you’re a gun on the grill, a weapon on pans, or can sling pizzas like a pro, we want you on our team! The Brook Hotel is on the hunt for an all-rounder Chef to join our busy, talented brigade.
No two days are the same here, with a high-volume kitchen, a big team of seasoned chefs, and a venue at the heart of the Mitchelton community, this is the perfect place to grow your skills and kickstart your next chapter with ALH.
A day in the life of a Chef:
- Running your section with confidence, grill, pans, pizza, you name it
- Prepping and cooking high-quality, consistent dishes during busy services
- Working closely with a large, supportive team to keep the pass flowing
- Maintaining high standards of food safety, cleanliness and presentation
- Bringing positive energy to a fast-paced kitchen where no two days look the same
What do we need from you
About you:
- Trade qualified with solid experience in a busy, high-volume kitchen
- Confident across multiple sections, or eager to learn them
- Calm and organised under pressure, even when the docket rail is full
- A great communicator who thrives in a team environment
- Reliable, passionate, and ready to bring your flavour to the Brook brigade
Inherent requirements:
This is a hands-on role that involves manual handling and lifting as part of regular duties (e.g. moving stock, kegs, and deliveries). Applicants must have the ability to perform physical tasks safely and efficiently.
