The Village Hotel is looking for motivated Casual Chefs to join our busy kitchen team. We are a high-volume, fast-paced bistro venue, so we need trade-qualified professionals who can work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation.

Previous experience in a similar bistro-style kitchen is essential. We are looking for team players who are "hands-on" and ready to jump onto any station during a rush. As this is a casual role, excellent availability is a must, including the ability to work a rotating roster of days, nights, weekends and public holidays. A day in the life of a Chef:

• Collaborate with the kitchen team to deliver high quality dishes that “WOW” our guests
• Contribute positively to our culture which is centred around safety and hygiene, keeping the guest experience at the heart of everything you do
• Maintain a consistent standard of high quality and well presented dishes that align with the ALH standard

About you:

• You have great experience working in a fast paced kitchen and hold necessary trade cooking qualifications
• You understand that the recipe for an exceptional guest experience contains the perfect mix of passion, precision and productivity
• Strong organisation and communication skills to create the best possible outcomes for our guests and the team
• You’ll be yourself and come as you are - ALH is known for its people

Inherent requirements:

• This is a hands-on role that involves manual handling and lifting as part of regular duties (e.g. moving stock, kegs, and deliveries). Applicants must have the ability to perform physical tasks safely and efficiently.
