Commis Chef | Oxenford Tavern | Full-time Opportunity!
The Oxenford Tavern is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Commis Chef to join our kitchen team in a full-time capacity.
This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified chef or a serious culinary student ready to gain hands-on experience and develop their skills under the guidance of our Head Chef. You must have good availability for a variety of rotational shifts across days, nights, weekends and public holidays. A day in the life of a Chef:
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to deliver high quality dishes that “WOW” our guests
- Contribute positively to our culture which is centred around safety and hygiene, keeping the guest experience at the heart of everything you do
- Maintain a consistent standard of high quality and well presented dishes that align with the ALH standard
What do we need from you
About you:
- You have great experience working in a fast paced kitchen and hold necessary trade cooking qualifications
- You understand that the recipe for an exceptional guest experience contains the perfect mix of passion, precision and productivity
- Strong organisation and communication skills to create the best possible outcomes for our guests and the team
- You’ll be yourself and come as you are - ALH is known for its people
Inherent requirements:
This is a hands-on role that involves manual handling and lifting as part of regular duties (e.g. moving stock, kegs, and deliveries). Applicants must have the ability to perform physical tasks safely and efficiently.
