Oxford 152, situated in the heart of fashionable Bulimba, is an iconic destination in Brisbane. A favourite amongst locals and visitors alike, it's large and open-planned main bar is the perfect place for our guests to indulge with friends, colleagues or to simply kick back, relax and watch the buzz of trendy Oxford Street go by. On Fridays and Saturdays, the main bar transforms into a popular nightlife venue with live music, bands and DJs. Functions are a speciality with spaces and modern facilities to suit both large events and smaller affairs.

This is a brilliant opportunity to become a Commis Chef at the Oxford 152!

What you’ll do:

• Assist the senior chefs in preparing a variety of meals according to menu and orders
• Work efficiently to ensure timely delivery of dishes to guests.
• Comply with safety and health policies, procedure and role responsibilities as defined in the Safety and Health Responsibilities and Accountabilities procedure
• Setup and cleaning of kitchen

What you’ll need: 

• Experience working in a hands-on, team focused bistro style kitchen
• Knowledge of cooking practices as they apply to the relevant venue's menu
• An uncompromising attitude towards high food quality, presentation and safety
• Strong communication and organisation skills
• Trade cooking qualifications are essential
• Flexible availability
