About the Role
Casual Cook | Castle Hill Tavern | Dream big with us!
The Castle Hill Tavern is seeking a skilled Casual Cook to join our kitchen team! We are looking for a reliable individual with proven cooking abilities who can maintain consistency and speed in a busy bistro pub environment.
You must have good availability to cover a mix of rotational shifts across days, nights, weekends and public holidays. If you are passionate about food, hardworking and ready to be a valuable part of our kitchen operation, Apply Now!
A day in the life of a Cook:
- Proactively complete food preparation and cleaning practices according to ALH standards
- Contribute positively to our culture of responsibility, which is centred around safety and procedural compliance
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to deliver high quality dishes that “WOW” our guests
Inherent requirements:
This is a hands-on role that involves manual handling and lifting as part of regular duties (e.g. moving stock, kegs, and deliveries). Applicants must have the ability to perform physical tasks safely and efficiently.

- You have experience working as part of a team in a fast paced, bistro-style kitchen
- You are passionate about the guest experience and delivering high quality dishes
- You have great organisation and communication skills and use them to create the best possible outcomes for our guests and the team
