About the Role
Cook | North Wollongong Hotel | Week Day Shifts!
The North Wollongong Hotel is looking for a reliable and experienced cook to join our kitchen team. This role offers approximately 23–24 hours per week, working set days on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. We're after someone who can handle a fast-paced pub kitchen, is confident with prep and service, and takes pride in delivering quality, consistent food. Experience in a similar bistro or pub setting is preferred. A solid understanding of food safety and the ability to work both independently and within a team is essential. This is a great opportunity to be part of a well-known local venue with a supportive team and steady hours.
A day in the life of a Cook:
- Proactively complete food preparation and cleaning practices according to ALH standards
- Contribute positively to our culture of responsibility, which is centred around safety and procedural compliance
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to deliver high quality dishes that “WOW” our guests
What do we need from you
About you:
- You have experience working as part of a team in a fast paced, bistro-style kitchen
- You are passionate about the guest experience and delivering high quality dishes
- You have great organisation and communication skills and use them to create the best possible outcomes for our guests and the team
- You'll be yourself and come as you are - ALH is known for its people!
