We are looking for a seasoned Engineering Lead - Mobile to guide and grow our mobile development team. This role will be instrumental in driving the architecture, development, and maintenance of our mobile applications across iOS and Android platforms. As a technical leader, you will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other engineering leaders to ensure delivery of robust, user-centric mobile solutions.
This role will be sitting within the Retail Applications side of Digital & Data within Endeavour reporting to the Head of Engineering.

Here is a taster of what you can expect in this role
Lead the development and technical direction of our native iOS and Android applications.
Provide hands-on technical leadership and contribute actively to codebases, particularly in Swift (iOS) and Kotlin/Java (Android).
Oversee the mobile team’s agile processes, ensure best practices in software engineering, testing, and CI/CD are followed.
Review code, mentor engineers, and champion continuous improvement in technical practices.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define mobile architecture and technical roadmap aligned with product goals.
Ensure mobile applications maintain a high standard of performance, reliability, and scalability.
Stay current with industry trends and mobile technologies to guide innovation and strategic decision-making.
Support the recruitment of new mobile app engineers when needed
Now let’s talk about you
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 6+ years of mobile development experience, with at least 2+ years in a leadership or staff engineer role.
- Deep understanding of both iOS (Swift) and Android (Kotlin/Java) ecosystems, SDKs, and design principles.
- Proven experience building and scaling mobile applications with large user bases.
- Strong grasp of mobile architectures (MVVM, VIPER, etc.), dependency injection, and automated testing.
- Familiarity with tools such as Xcode, Android Studio, Firebase, Fastlane, and mobile CI/CD systems.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with a collaborative mindset
- Experience working with and leading both offshore and onshore development teams.
