The Finance Business Partner - Store Operations will effectively partner the Dan Murphy's Operations Team, providing commercial support and advice. Using commercial acumen to drive performance reporting, planning and insightful analysis that improves and supports decision-making. Be seen as a leader amongst the Dan’s finance team.
Works with relevant stakeholders to support strategic initiatives of the Operations team and wider Endeavour Group; supports strategic planning process, forecasts and budgeting.
Implements effective tools and practices to deliver outcomes on time, to budget, and in a collaborative manner.

Here is a taster of what you can expect in this role
- Understand and analyse key business drivers to develop commercial insights that enable the business to deliver better performance
- Identify key profit drivers within individual stores / store cohorts
- Responsible for the production and distribution of accurate, timely and insightful monthly performance reporting including state based business reviews to drive actions in the Operations team
- Partner with senior operations leaders in the business to support financial and commercial decision making within specific states.
- Develop initiatives with supporting analysis and recommendations on cost reduction opportunities and/or to improve store financial performance
- Report on financial and non-financial measures that align to the strategy and drive delivery of objectives
- Acquires knowledge of available data sources, extracts the data efficiently and organises the data to gain business insights
- Works to enable effective finance practices by ensuring the maintenance, enhancement or adoption of relevant systems to support any process improvements that are implemented.
Now let’s talk about you
- A minimum of 7 years relevant experience (at least 3 in a partnering role)
- CA / CPA Qualification preferred
- Previous experience managing senior stakeholders in a retail or matrix environment
- Advanced time management and prioritisation skills
- Strong data analysis, problem solving and modelling skills to analyse & summarise high volumes of data from a variety of sources
- Strong presentation, storytelling and communication skills
- Demonstrate simple, structured, accurate and robust outputs
- Strong experience using financial systems in a commercial environment (e.g. SAP, TeamOne, IBM, Excel)
