The Last Mile Delivery team is responsible for leading the e-commerce fulfillment and last-mile delivery capability for the Group. The team oversees all aspects of our customer fulfilment network, ensuring timely, efficient, and precise delivery of products/services to our customers and retail stores. The team is responsible for overseeing the operations of the Langton’s Warehouse, Customer Fulfilment Centres, Subscription warehouse, and the Cross-dock Depots, as well as the Group’s in-house transport businesses, Endeavour Delivery and FLIP. The Customer Hub team is our contact centre responsible for providing timely and efficient service to customers and delivery teams.

The Finance Business Partner - Last Mile Delivery partners with the Last Mile Delivery team to measure performance and provide actionable reporting and insights to achieve or exceed financial targets and will report to the Finance Manager and gain exposure to the senior members of the Last Mile Delivery and Customer Hub operational teams.

Here is a taster of what you can expect in this role

  • Delivering financial, commercial and strategic insights to assist the Last Mile Delivery operations. The role will provide the analysis on our capacity to achieve Last Mile KPIs, budgeted cost initiatives and support E-com profitability. Specifically the role will support the Last Mile Delivery Finance Manager and business partner with the Last Mile Delivery team in measuring their performance, reporting on results and providing guidance on how to further optimise their profitability in the fulfillment model. You will also be responsible for managing month end financial accounting and assisting in financial reporting.
  • Support the annual planning (Budgeting), re-forecasting and month-end reporting processes for Last Mile Delivery, with focus on both the Endeavour Delivery business which provides last mile delivery for our eCom sales and the Customer Hub, which provides customer support (contact centre) for our Retail businesses. This includes contribution to the monthly Business Performance Report (BPR) providing timely, accurate insight and analysis. You will also proactively identify opportunities to streamline and enhance existing finance processes.
  • Working closely with the Finance Manager (Last Mile Delivery), you will support our expanding operations providing ad-hoc decision support, business case preparation and actionable insights for strategic initiatives across our end-to-end customer fulfilment model. This includes initiatives delivered in conjunction with our Supply Chain team as we strive to optimise our end-to-end network

Qualifications

  • 5 years + experience, including management accounting and business partnering
  • Good communication skills, able to influence key business partners and manage a broad  stakeholder base
  • Strong organisational and effective time management and prioritisation skills supporting multiple teams / functions
  • Commercial thinker, able to critically evaluate and solve problems
  • Strong financial modelling, with strong Excel experience
  • Self-starter who continuously improves processes and outcomes, working both autonomously and as part of the broader team
  • Solid systems and technical skills
