As Finance Business Partner - Packaging & Operations, you will effectively partner the Packaging leadership team to drive the business strategy, ensure constant alignment between stakeholders while proactively providing commercial support and guidance on key strategic initiatives & opportunities.

Here is a taster of what you can expect in this role:

Performance Reporting

• Deliver insightful analysis and commercial recommendations, including customer profitability
• Drive regular business performance reviews to identify and resolve poor performance issues
• Work closely with key stakeholders to identify key issues / solutions on the operations of the business
• Work with stakeholders to ensure reporting and commentary is effective and insightful for decision making
• Present the monthly financial performance to the Packaging Senior Leadership Team

Planning and Forecasting

• Responsible for preparation and submission of the annual budget and forecast process
• Ownership over operational performance reports and forecasts
• Working with key stakeholders to ascertain cost control measures and optimise future trading opportunities
• Managing P&L against budget/targets and communicating opportunities to stakeholders
• Commercial support for relevant business case and capital requests

Decision Support

• Identify key drivers of opportunities for business improvement
• Support business improvement initiatives identified by the leadership team
• Ensure long term financial targets have relevant and sound strategic thinking and strong business cases
• Assist the Packaging Sales Team with customer contracts and data management/loads into D365
• Manage the Finance component of the annual CPI price updates, including calculating the increase to all trade agreements and data loads
• Assist the Packaging Sales Team and Accounts Receivable team with collection of outstanding customer accounts by providing decision support on credit limits, payment plans, and credit holds
• Assist the Senior Leadership Team by coordinating the Integrated Business Planning meetings

Team and culture

• Clear and effective communication across multiple groups of stakeholders
• Work with department leadership teams to ensure there is a consistent “way of working”
• Work across Finance to implement best practices and improved ways of working, systems and process
• Adhere to business procedures to embed safety, quality and sustainability into the culture and ways of working

Now let’s talk about you: 

• CA / CPA  with minimum 5 years post qualification experience
• FMCG experience
• Previous experience in cross-matrix organisation
• Strong presentation and storyboarding skills
• Advanced time management and prioritisation skills
• Advanced analytical and problem solving skills
• Able to communicate complex financial information simplistically
• Advanced experience using financial systems in a commercial environment e.g. Excel, PowerPoint, D365 ERP
