Are you a sharp, commercially-minded Finance Manager ready to drive performance across a dynamic portfolio of exclusive global brands?

Pinnacle Drinks is home to six wineries, 550 hectares of owned vineyards, three bottling sites, Cellar Doors, and more than 700+ brands. Our businesses include premium estates brands such as Chapel Hill, Oakridge, Isabel Estate, Krondorf, Riddoch, Shingleback, Josef Chromy and Cape Mentelle.

Whether it's a single malt whisky from a distillery established in Scotland in 1897, a craft beer from Western Australia or a rich red from Barossa Valley, Pinnacle Drinks showcases brands which over deliver on quality and character.

We are looking for a highly experienced and commercially-focused Finance Manager – Retail & Sourcing to lead our reporting, forecasting, and decision support functions. You will be a vital partner to both our Sourcing team and the broader Retail commercial business, ensuring financial strategies are sound and performance targets are met.

This role requires a leader who can deliver deep, actionable insights and manage robust financial planning cycles for both the sourcing and retail arms of the business.

Commercial Reporting & Performance Management

  • Proactively deliver insightful analysis and commercial recommendations to the business leadership.
  • Ensure robust frameworks for all commercial reporting, delivering messaging that is actionable and insightful.
  • Monitor performance against plan, establishing early warning signals and communicating proactively to ensure timely corrective actions are taken.
  • Lead the team in driving and presenting regular business performance reviews / weekly trade sessions, identifying and resolving poor performance issues.
  • Drive the improvement in sales reporting across all channels, providing a single view on progress against business case targets.

Planning & Forecasting Leadership

  • Lead the team on commercial forecasting across sales, margin, and BDF (Brand Development Fund), proactively highlighting risks and opportunities.
  • Proactively manage and communicate business Budget/Forecasts and strategic planning requirements.
  • Support the 3-year strategic plan and the annual operational budget in collaboration with the Head of Finance - Retail.
  • Work with stakeholders to ascertain cost control measures and optimise future trading opportunities.

Decision Support & Strategy

  • Lead the commercial team for all Pinnacle product commercial analysis and ad hoc analysis.
  • Lead the assessment of the portfolio performance through diagnostics, assessing promotional effectiveness and buy-side/sell-side impacts on Gross Profit (GP).
  • Lead the development of business cases for the New Product Development (NPD) process.
  • Lead reviews to drive business process improvements and efficiencies across the operations.

Team Leadership & Culture

  • Provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring to your direct reports and the wider finance team.
  • Ensure clear and effective communication across multiple groups of stakeholders, fostering a consistent “way of working” across departments.

What do we need from you

You are a decisive, experienced Finance Manager ready for a role within a fast-paced retail and sourcing environment. Essential Requirements:

  • Minimum 10+ years of professional experience in a Commercial or Financial management role.
  • CA / CPA / CIMA qualified.
  • Proven experience in Retail, FMCG, and/or Commercial sectors is essential.
  • Advanced leadership, coaching, mentoring, and development skills.
  • Strong presentation and storyboarding skills—able to communicate complex financial information simplistically and effectively.
  • Expertise in advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as financial systems (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, SAP, GCP).
