We're looking for a Finance Manager, Retail Marketing for 12 - 16 months maternity leave cover, to become a key commercial partner to the Dan Murphy’s, BWS, and Group Marketing leadership teams. You will lead a team of two to proactively support the business's strategy and ensure decision-making is data-driven, while our finance processes remain consistent and effective.
As the Finance Manager, you will provide critical decision support and guidance on key strategic marketing initiatives. You will also be responsible for the reporting, planning, and forecasting of marketing and loyalty investments. You'll lead, coach, and mentor your team while working across various finance groups to implement best practices and improve systems and processes.

Here is a taster of what you can expect in this role:
- Provide insightful analysis on key performance drivers, offering commercial recommendations to inform decision-making.
- Challenge current spending and work with stakeholders to ensure they achieve the greatest returns for the business.
- Lead the annual budget and forecast processes for marketing and loyalty investment.
- Manage marketing investment against targets, communicating risks and opportunities to stakeholders, and provide commercial support for business cases.
- Lead, coach, and manage a team of two, ensuring clear and effective communication across multiple stakeholder groups.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to the broader Supply Chain, Marketing, and Retail finance teams.
Now let’s talk about you:
- Minimum of 7+ years of relevant experience with a CA/CPA qualification.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with a proven ability to partner and collaborate across teams to drive business performance.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights.
- Effective communication and "storytelling" skills to simplify complex financial information for diverse stakeholders.
- Experience in financial planning, performance reporting, and P&L management within a commercial environment.
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment, balancing priorities and managing financial risks.
- Proficiency in financial systems, with advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Retail or FMCG experience is desirable, and finance partnering with marketing teams is highly regarded.
