Be part of something new, exciting, and full of opportunity. Northern Grounds is a brand new venue designed to host a wide range of events — and we’re looking for an Operational Functions Manager to take the reins! You’ll be the driving force behind the successful delivery of events from start to finish. From the first handover through to bump out, you’ll ensure every detail is executed seamlessly.

A day in the life of a Function Manager:

  • Design exciting function packages with a key focus on the guest experience and fostering strong stakeholder relationships
  • Oversee the full operational delivery of functions and events
  • Lead and support teams to ensure smooth service and set-up
  • Manage timelines, logistics, suppliers, and on-the-day operations
  • Work closely with the wider venue team to bring events to life
  • Complete sales calls and lock in bookings with quick and efficient quotes and seamless supplier connections
  • Develop and execute promotional strategies to keep bookings booming

What do we need from you

About you:

  • Strong operational experience in functions, events, or hospitality
  • You have a collaborative spirit and share your passion and enthusiasm with your team and stakeholders
  • Leadership skills and a hands on approach to problem-solving
  • Passion for creating standout guest experiences
  • You use your strategic planning skills to reach targets, develop your team, and manage multiple priorities
  • You hold current RSA and RSG/RCG industry certifications
