Endeavour Group demerged from Woolworths in 2021 and as part of the transition is taking the opportunity to transform how we operate as an independent business and establish supporting technology via the One Endeavour Transformation Program.

The Functional Lead - Stores plays a critical role in designing and implementing robust business solutions for the Stores teams. Collaborating closely with stakeholder groups, they engage in discussions to identify and understand their needs and requirements. By doing so, they ensure that the developed solutions align seamlessly with the business objectives and address real-world challenges.

The Functional Lead - Stores is responsible for developing and implementing the processes, templates, change and tracking methods to ensure the quality, consistency, and reliability of deliverables produced by the Functional team.    Playing a key role in project assurance, The Functional Lead - Stores, collaborates closely with Project Manages to ensure that projects are properly aligned with all Endeavour check lists and stage gates. The Functional Lead - Stores has the maturity and experience to evaluate what is needed to inform technical specifications and decision making, and to identify the best methods for documenting and sharing critical insights with various stakeholders, ensuring clarity and alignment across teams.

Here is a taster of what you can expect in this role

  • Develop, review and govern functional specifications and documents that define the desired outcome of system enhancements/developments
  • Work with external vendors to provide the most effective and efficient solution to meet the business needs
  • Proactively engage with stakeholder groups to understand business needs and analyse and translate business needs into solutions 
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvement and system enhancements.
  • Present analysis and critical insights to Tech and non-Tech stakeholder groups to drive decision making and alignment
  • Lead the functional analysis work in the design, development, and implementation of retail solutions.
  • Work closely with the Project team to ensure a smooth transition of the Stores solution to Operations.
  • Provide continuous improvement and deliver upgrades/projects across the stores application landscape
  • Assist with governance and release of system changes to production
  • Oversee the testing process to ensure that solutions meet business requirements and are free of defects.
  • Facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT) and gather stakeholder feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Develop training materials and conduct sessions for end-users to ensure effective adoption of new solutions.
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to users post-implementation.

Qualifications

  • Expert and demonstrated experience in Retail Store applications  
  • Ability to understand, isolate and interpret business needs and develop appropriate technical solutions.  
  • Migration, Troubleshooting experience.
  • 2-5 years IT BA experience
  • Experienced with regression testing
  • Highly organised and efficient, with strong attention to detail
  • Creates partnerships and teamwork; applies broad business perspective; makes effective decisions 
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, demonstrates a logical approach to problem solving 
  • Ability to work both independently and as an effective team member within a complex and fast paced environment 
  • Can demonstrate strong communication, facilitation, negotiating, conflict resolution and influencing skills
