Head Chef | Burleigh Heads Hotel
We’re searching for a Head Chef to lead the kitchen at the Burleigh Heads Hotel - the beating heart of our local community and the place where pub classics meet plates locals can’t get enough of. Not only is the Pub itself undergoing significant renovation and refurbishment, but the whole area is getting spruced up, with new tram connections, park and promenade upgrades and seawall rebuilds. Boasting a fantastic location right across the road from the beach, this a fab opportunity to join a pub with a real buzz!
Package: From $82k + Super + Bonus
The Venue: Burleigh Heads Hotel is situated on The Esplanade, just across the road from the iconic Burleigh Heads Beach. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, with two bars, a restaurant and premium gaming room, Burleigh Heads Hotel is sure to please. Our restaurant offers a variety of dishes, ranging from fresh seafood to classic pub meals. With seniors and kids options available, the whole family is sure to enjoy a meal in the bistro.
A day in the life of a Head Chef:
- Command the kitchen like it’s your own, keeping it running smooth, safe, and profitable
- Be a key part of the leadership crew, working closely with the Publican and FOH team
- Share your passion, skills, and creativity to grow a high-performing kitchen team
- Keep the connection between the kitchen and front of house flowing with good vibes and great food every shift
Inherent requirements:
This is a hands-on role that involves manual handling and lifting as part of regular duties (e.g. moving stock, kegs, and deliveries). Applicants must have the ability to perform physical tasks safely and efficiently.

- You’ve got the experience, confidence, and pride to own the kitchen and make it shine
- You’ve got trade cooking qualifications and food safety certifications sorted
- You live and breathe the Head Chef life - creating food people talk about and coming in each day ready to lead
