Head Chef | Jamison Hotel
We’re searching for a Head Chef to lead the kitchen at the Jamison Hotel - the beating heart of our local community and the place where pub classics meet plates locals can’t get enough of.
Sitting tall on Smith Street in the heart of South Penrith is the Jamison Hotel. Serving locals and visitors since 1969, community is at the heart of everything we do, which is why we've been the local favourite for decades.
Our guests can catch up with family and friends in our spacious Bistro. Our menu has options to suit every taste from fresh seafood to steaks, pastas, salads and all the pub fare that you know and love.
If our guests are after a drink, they can stop into our Sports Bar and sample one of our many ice cold beers on tap, or take a look at our extensive wine, cider and spirits lists. No matter what the occasion, the Jamison Hotel is always the best place to be.
Salary: From $82,000 + superannuation + bonus scheme
A day in the life of a Head Chef:
- Command the kitchen like it’s your own, keeping it running smooth, safe, and profitable
- Be a key part of the leadership crew, working closely with the Publican and FOH team
- Share your passion, skills, and creativity to grow a high-performing kitchen team
- Keep the connection between the kitchen and front of house flowing with good vibes and great food every shift
Inherent requirements:
This is a hands-on role that involves manual handling and lifting as part of regular duties (e.g. moving stock, kegs, and deliveries). Applicants must have the ability to perform physical tasks safely and efficiently.

- You’ve got the experience, confidence, and pride to own the kitchen and make it shine
- You’ve got trade cooking qualifications and food safety certifications sorted
- You live and breathe the Head Chef life - creating food people talk about and coming in each day ready to lead
