We’re looking for an experienced Head Chef to take the lead in our bustling kitchen. With high-volume covers and a fast-paced service, this is the perfect role for someone who thrives under pressure, loves a challenge, and has the creativity to make their mark on a much-loved menu.
The iconic Seacliff Beach Hotel (The Cliff) has been serving up good times since 1935 and we’re now looking for a Head Chef to take the reins. With oceanfront vibes, fresh coastal produce, and elevated pub classics on the menu, this is your chance to lead the kitchen at a true community landmark.
Team up with our State Executive Chef - Paul Baker, the mastermind behind the state’s food offerings, and help inspire, lead, and create magic in our kitchens!
What you will be doing:
- Running a high-performing kitchen, ensuring every plate leaves the pass with consistency, flavour, and flair.
- Leading, mentoring, and developing your brigade to be at their very best.
- Working side by side with the Publican and FOH leaders to keep service seamless and guests happy.
- Driving efficiency, managing food costs, rostering, and stock with a sharp eye.
- Keeping the kitchen safe, clean, and compliant – no corners cut.
- Bringing fresh ideas to seasonal menus, while celebrating our signature pub favourites and fresh seafood.
About You:
- A seasoned chef with proven experience running high-volume kitchens.
- Trade cooking qualifications and food safety certifications.
- A leader who thrives in a busy environment and keeps calm when the pressure’s on.
- Someone passionate about food, from hearty classics to creative seasonal specials, who can deliver consistency in every service.
- A team player who loves collaborating with the wider venue crew.
