We’re on the lookout for an experienced and inspiring Head Chef to take the reins of the kitchen at the Beach Hotel, the local favourite where good food, great mates, and unforgettable nights all come together.
At the Beach Hotel, we’re all about flavour, creativity, and crowd-pleasing classics with a twist. From the bistro to the beer garden, you’ll lead a kitchen that delivers comfort food with flair in a buzzing venue packed with good vibes, live entertainment, and locals who love coming back for more.
We’re looking for a visionary Head Chef, someone ready to lead with creativity, inspire the team, and craft a kitchen culture that raises the bar.
Team up with our State Executive Chef - Paul Baker, the mastermind behind the state’s food offerings, and help inspire, lead, and create magic in our kitchens!
What you will be doing:
- Mentor and lead a strong, motivated kitchen team.
- Driving a positive, collaborative, and professional culture in the kitchen.
- Taking ownership of menu execution, stock management, and food safety standards.
- Working hand in hand with the Publican and Front of House to deliver a seamless guest experience.
- Inspiring creativity and pride in the food we serve while balancing efficiency and profitability.
- Recruiting, training, and developing a strong team to grow with you.
About you:
- You’re an experienced Head Chef (or Senior Sous ready to step up) with proven leadership skills.
- You thrive on building strong teams and leading from the front.
- You’ve got trade cooking qualifications and food safety certifications sorted.
- You’re organised, confident, and passionate about creating food that keeps guests coming back.
- You love the challenge of running a busy kitchen and making it your own.
