We’re searching for a Head Chef to lead the kitchen at the Brook Hotel - the beating heart of our local community and the place where pub classics meet plates locals can’t get enough of. 

Welcome to the Brook Hotel. Open now after an extensive renovation with our state of the art gaming room already up and running. We're a part of the Mitchelton and greater Brisbane community. Embedded in life's moments of our locals for decades, we've heard it all. Stories of frivolity, comradery and a spicy love story here and there.

Find your way into our beer garden and pull up a chair beneath our 60 year old fig tree. It's the perfect place to share a drink, a traditional Napoli pizza (where there's plenty of slices to go around), and a story or two. You're among friends here.

We're more than just bricks and mortar, we're a local for our locals. We crave the long family lunches in our bistro, and the quick drink as you catch the game in our sports bar.

A day in the life of a Head Chef:

• Command the kitchen like it’s your own, keeping it running smooth, safe, and profitable
• Be a key part of the leadership crew, working closely with the Publican and FOH team
• Share your passion, skills, and creativity to grow a high-performing kitchen team
• Keep the connection between the kitchen and front of house flowing with good vibes and great food every shift

Inherent requirements:

• This is a hands-on role that involves manual handling and lifting as part of regular duties (e.g. moving stock, kegs, and deliveries). Applicants must have the ability to perform physical tasks safely and efficiently.

About you:

• You’ve got the experience, confidence, and pride to own the kitchen and make it shine
• You’ve got trade cooking qualifications and food safety certifications sorted
• You live and breathe the Head Chef life - creating food people talk about and coming in each day ready to lead
