Endeavour Group demerged from Woolworths in 2021 and as part of the transition is taking the opportunity to transform how we operate as an independent business and establish supporting technology.
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Infrastructure Test Lead to play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our program's infrastructure. Based in Sydney, this role will be responsible for leading and overseeing all infrastructure testing activities, working closely with internal teams, system integrators, and third-party vendors. This role will contribute to the development and execution of comprehensive test strategies, ensuring alignment with program requirements, quality standards, and timelines. Your strong leadership, technical expertise, and collaborative approach will be essential in driving successful testing outcomes and delivering a robust and high-performing infrastructure.
This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and a meticulous attention to detail while also taking a hands-on role in ensuring testing activities are properly executed.
Testing Governance & Oversight:
○ Lead and enforce rigorous governance of all infrastructure and networking testing activities within the E2E Stores Program, ensuring strict adherence to quality standards, program-specific infrastructure requirements, and demanding timelines.
○ Collaborate closely with Senior Test Manager and Infrastructure Architects to define and implement specialized testing processes, tools, templates, and best practices specifically for infrastructure and networking components within a distributed store environment.
○ Oversee the testing efforts of 3rd party vendors and partner teams responsible for delivering and integrating infrastructure and networking elements, ensuring that all testing deliverables and timelines are met according to stringent agreed-upon standards.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:
○ Engage with system integrators, program managers, infrastructure architects, network engineers, functional analysts, and business teams to ensure comprehensive understanding and validation of the infrastructure and networking scope and deliverables for the E2E Stores Program.
○ Act as the primary point of contact for facilitating technical communication between third-party infrastructure and networking vendors and internal technical stakeholders, proactively escalating complex infrastructure and network-related issues and risks.
○ Ensure seamless alignment across all involved teams regarding the intricate infrastructure and networking testing approach, critical priorities, and aggressive timelines.
Test Planning & Execution:
○ Drive the development of highly technical infrastructure and networking test strategies and detailed test plans, ensuring comprehensive coverage of critical aspects such as network connectivity (LAN, WAN, WLAN), server performance, storage solutions, security protocols (firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention), load balancing, failover mechanisms, and disaster recovery procedures specific to the E2E Stores environment.
○ Oversee the execution of complex infrastructure and networking test cases, ensuring meticulous testing progress and the timely identification and resolution of intricate infrastructure and network-related issues. ○ Guarantee the accuracy and completeness of infrastructure and network test coverage, proactively identifying any gaps in testing scope and collaborating with relevant technical teams to implement necessary remediation.
Automation Testing Oversight:
○ Champion the execution and continuous maintenance of the automation testing strategy for critical infrastructure and networking components, maximizing test coverage and efficiency.
○ Collaborate closely with specialized automation teams to prioritize and develop sophisticated automation test scripts targeting key infrastructure and networking elements, aiming to significantly increase efficiency and breadth of coverage.
○ Diligently track automation progress for infrastructure and networking testing, identifying and driving improvements within the automation process and the selection of appropriate tooling.
Risk Management & Quality Assurance:
○ Proactively monitor infrastructure and networking testing progress, identifying potential technical risks, critical blockers, or complex issues, and collaborate effectively with relevant technical stakeholders to implement timely and robust resolutions.
○ Ensure meticulous tracking and resolution of all identified infrastructure and network defects according to strict agreed-upon timelines, providing detailed reports on defect trends to highlight critical areas of concern within the underlying infrastructure and network architecture.
○ Champion continuous improvement initiatives within infrastructure and networking testing processes, methodologies, and the adoption of latest testing toolsets
Documentation & Reporting:
○ Maintain comprehensive and technically detailed documentation for all infrastructure and networking testing activities, including detailed test plans, precise test scripts, thorough defect logs with network diagnostic information, and insightful testing reports specific to infrastructure and network performance and stability. ○ Provide regular, technically focused updates on infrastructure and networking testing progress to key technical stakeholders, including granular details on defect status, intricate network and infrastructure issues, and potential technical risks.
○ Contribute significantly to post-test reviews for infrastructure and networking components, meticulously summarizing testing outcomes and providing technically sound recommendations for future infrastructure and network enhancements and testing strategies.
