As the Marketing Manager - Strategic Projects in the Dan Murphy’s team, you will lead our delivery partner & convenience strategy and run our program of marketing activity, aligning on business ambitions and metrics.
You will be responsible for the GTM plans for our delivery partner & convenience to ensure their integration and visibility into our Customer Trade Plan, a dynamic and efficient engine that delivers our go-to-market strategy across all channels.
Additionally, you will manage the marketing growth roadmap for Retail Media (MixIn) through effective inventory optimisation, stakeholder management, channel integration and supplier relations.
You will also play a key role in optimising marketing processes as we enter new channels and growth areas, fostering cross-functional collaboration and creating operational efficiencies within the marketing space.

Here is a taster of what you can expect in this role:
- Lead the delivery partner & convenience strategy and activity on behalf of marketing, delivering a seamless omnichannel experience for the customer.
- Manage growth and expansion ambitions for Retail Media (MixIn) on behalf of marketing.
- Lead the management of our agency partners to ensure effective briefing and workflows, facilitate brand integration and optimise the tools and capabilities that are available to us.
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve processes, tools, and frameworks, enhancing ways of working and planning cycles across the team.
- Support fewer, bigger, better initiatives and customer-first centricity, with a focus on business growth drivers and customer acquisition.
- Work closely with digital and data teams to leverage new innovations and platforms that amplify trade driving and tactical projects end-to-end autonomously, developing project timelines and budgets and ensuring alignment and delivery across all teams and channels (paid and owned).
- Collaborate with the Marketing Planning & Retail Media Manager to support brand marketing operating rhythms, implement planning frameworks and build strong relationships across Marketing, Merchandise, eCommerce, Operations and Pinnacle teams.
- Manage & execute ad-hoc retail marketing activity that contributes to the overall Dan Murphy’s commercial objectives.
- Act as a thought leader within the broader Marketing team, encouraging end-to-end collaboration and fostering a customer-first team culture.
Now let’s talk about you:
- 8+ Years experience in marketing, with a strong focus on brand strategy and campaign management.
- Proven track record in designing and managing marketing campaigns from strategy through execution, with a demonstrated ability to turn strategic plans into actionable results.
- Expertise in managing budgets and media planning, including execution across digital and non-digital channels.
- Strong understanding of cross-functional business planning, including category strategies, ensuring alignment with broader business goals.
- Demonstrated commercial acumen within a retail environment, with a deep understanding of optimization techniques across multiple channels.
- Ability to interpret customer data to develop compelling retail plans and assess the effectiveness of marketing activities.
- Knowledgeable and passionate about the liquor industry.
- Tertiary qualifications in business, marketing, or a related field.
