Job Description

As a Platform Lead, you will oversee the development, maintenance, and optimization of our webMethods platform. You will lead a team of engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the platform meets the organization's scalability, reliability, and performance needs. This role requires a deep understanding of webMethods product suites, software architecture, and best practices in platform engineering.

  • Deliver an integration environment that is reliable, effective and addresses technology risk to ensure uptime and delivery within SLAs.

  • Deliver a continuous improvement program for the integration environment that meets the organization's evolving needs.

  • Collaborate with architects and senior engineers to design and implement robust platform architectures that meet the organization's performance, scalability, and security requirements.

  • Ensure the webMethods team contributes to and supports Endeavour’s corporate vision and strategy.

  • Work closely with product managers, operations teams, and other stakeholders to understand requirements, prioritize tasks, and ensure alignment with business goals.

  • Provide input to the technology direction and define solutions architecture, design, and development for the integration environment, ensuring best practices and leveraging existing technology assets and investments.

  • Good knowledge of webMethods Migration and product road map strategies

  • Lead the response to platform incidents, coordinating with the operations team to ensure timely resolution and minimize downtime.

  • Ensure the platform complies with relevant regulations and industry standards, implementing security best practices to protect sensitive data and systems.

  • Provide input into the engagement with integration vendors; selection & assessment; service & support levels; commercial negotiation; performance management; contractual agreements; and actual expenditure.

  • Provide regular updates on team priorities and progress.

Now let’s talk about you: 

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Proven experience (10 years) in webMethods product suite, including integration server, UM, Command Central, MFT, MWS, and TN, version 10.5 and later preferred, with a strong track record of leading successful platform projects.

  • Proven experience (5 years) in administering the webMethods platform and at least one large-scale upgrade project across various webMethods products

  • Proven experience (8 years) in designing and developing complex enterprise-grade integrations.

  • Great experience with developing APIs and maintaining API security

  • Strong knowledge of software development methodologies, and DevOps practices.

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members. At least 5 years in a professional senior technical role such as technical lead, team lead, architect, or any other hands-on leadership role.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing technical challenges.

  • Experience working in agile environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

  • Desirable - Experience with cloud messaging and streaming services(e.g., Azure service bus, event hub).

  • Experience with Azure APIM

  • Working knowledge of ITIL and Agile

  • Highly organized with strong activity and resource planning skills.

  • Great experience with DevOps using Azure DevOps, including source control, pipeline and automated testing.

  • Certification in relevant cloud technologies (e.g., Google Cloud and Azure).

  • Good experience with SAP S4 HANA integration
