Project Manager - Gaming Room Refurbishments
Job description
Calling all experience creators!
Let’s go to the pub!” Chances are, it’s one of ours. The cornerstone of over 350 Australian communities, ALH owns and operates more pubs than anyone. In every community, the pub is where stories are made and retold. A place to escape, and feel at home. With passion on tap, our team adds to every pub’s story. A great local is made up of great people. And together, both sides of the bar create something special.
Project Manager - Gaming Room Refurbishments
As the Project Manager, you are the critical bridge between the Gaming Operations Team and the project team that delivers the construction work. Across ALH’s Gaming footprint, refurbishments are not just about bricks and mortar - it’s about minimising downtime and maximising gaming floor performance and guest experience.
Your primary mission is to ensure that the strategic vision of the Gaming Operations Team is translated accurately into the physical build. You will manage the "connective tissue" of the project, ensuring that machine moves, gaming products, operational regulatory compliance & IT requirements land. You are the glue that ensures projects are delivered on time, within operational specs, and launched with minimal disruption to venue revenue.
Sound good? Read on.
Here is a taster of what you can expect in this role:
- Cross-Functional Liaison: Lead as the primary point of contact between the Gaming Team and Development Project Managers to ensure all parties are aligned on timelines and deliverables.
- Operational Sequencing: Develop and manage the "micro-schedule" of gaming-specific tasks (e.g., machine disconnects, base installations, directional signage and re-commissioning) to fit within the broader construction program.
- Technical Coordination: Coordinate with external technicians and internal IT teams to ensure system requirements (e.g., Maxgaming or Light & Wonder) are ready before the "carpet goes down."
- Compliance & Licensing: Ensure the operational compliance for gaming floor alterations to ensure all renovations meet state-based regulatory standards and internal responsibility guidelines.
- Stakeholder Reporting: Provide regular updates to key stakeholders on construction progress, highlighting any risks to the "Go-Live launch" date or operational constraints.
- Post-Completion Handover: Lead the defects process for gaming-specific areas and ensure the venue team is fully briefed.
- Supplier Relationships: Relationship management & ordering from suppliers including chairs, bases or signage on a tactical implementation basis.
Now let’s talk about you:
- Extensive experience within the Hotel Gaming Industry.
- Experience working with hospitality refurbishments or project work.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently when required.
- Technical Skills: Advanced Excel or project management tools.
- Knowledge of gaming industry regulations and market trends.
