In this new role, the Pub Renovations Operations Manager (known internally as the Format Operations Manager) will be responsible for the successful delivery of our venue renovation program across QLD and NT, aligned to our ALH Format Development strategic priorities. 

We are investing in renovation of a number of our venues, to further realise our purpose of creating pub experiences locals love. 

This role is responsible for operational delivery and coordination of our venue renovations, as well as collaborating cross functionally and broadly within QLD and NT. 

Our Format Operations Manager is the conduit to, and representative of, the wider ALH Operations function to ensure that each renovated venue is optimised and delivers the desired customer experience.

Here is a taster of what you can expect in this role:

• Operational delivery of the ALH Format program of renovation work in venues within QLD and NT.
• Pub Design - prepare draft scope of works/design briefs, spatial planning and contribute during concept, design development and construction phases.
• Financial - responsible for all financial aspects of the renewal/build.
• Marketing - work with the ALH Marketing team to align on market positioning, interpret competitive sets and coordinate rebranding/brand builds.
• Product - work with the Commercial team and Group Executive Chefs to ensure the product offering will align with guests’ expectations.
• People - work with Venue and Operations Managers on upskilling of hotel teams, as well as be the one point of contact for Format Operations within QLD and NT.
• Operations - partner with Operations teams to coordinate operational activities during disruption and lead operational launch activities.

Now let’s talk about you: 

• Significant experience in the delivery of venue renovation and/or rebuild projects, including leading venue launches.
• In depth knowledge of hospitality operations, gained through experience in the operating of pubs.
• Excellent understanding of industry trends and demographics.
• Strong communication, including the ability to influence at all levels of the organisation.
• Strategy development, transformation and program management experience within the hospitality industry.
• Innovative and creative mindset, adaptable and effective in complex and ambiguous environments.
• Ability to articulate a vision.
• This role will require travel within the portfolio.
