We’re on the hunt for a REAL Publican, someone who lives and breathes hospitality, leads from the front, and brings locals together by creating pub experiences they love.
Salary $90k + Super + Bonus Eligibility

The Venue:
Located just off Old Cleveland Road on the corner of Redland Bay Road in Brisbane's south eastern suburbs sits a local institution: Capalaba Tavern.
Capalaba Tavern is the go-to for locals and those coming from surrounding suburbs, with delicious food courtesy of our House of Schnitzel restaurant, spacious dining areas and always something happening in the Sports Bar.
Generously cut from premium meat, our schnitzels are lightly tenderised, coated with flour, beaten eggs and breadcrumbs, cooked to order with passion and care. We use only premium Australian chicken and have several toppers to choose from. In addition to schnitzel, we source high grade, tender portions of Australian beef and pork featured in a number of pub favourites for everyone.
Whether you’re sitting down for a family meal, stopping in for a drink with a friend or catching up with mates, the Capalaba Tavern has everything you need.
A day in the life of a Publican:
- You know the locals by name, they reckon you’re one of their own, all while keeping a sharp eye on the P&L.
- You run the place like it’s your own modern-day home, keeping things safe, smooth, and compliant.
- You're the pillar of the local community and the driving force behind a high-performing team.
- You put out fires before anyone even notices there was smoke.
- You bring the vibe, the service, and the smiles – every shift, every day.
Inherent requirements:
This is a hands-on role that involves manual handling and lifting as part of regular duties (e.g. moving stock, kegs, and deliveries). Applicants must have the ability to perform physical tasks safely and efficiently.
