Jewells Tavern is more than just a pub, it's the real deal. Located in the heart of the Newcastle community, we pride ourselves on being the local hub where cold beers, great food, and fantastic company meet. We're looking for a passionate, hands-on Publican who can step in and embody the spirit of the venue.
This isn't a corporate gig. This is a place for a manager who loves the buzz of a Friday night, the roar of a live game, and the satisfaction of running a smooth, successful operation.
A day in the life of a Publican:
- You know the locals by name, they reckon you’re one of their own, all while keeping a sharp eye on the P&L.
- You run the place like it’s your own modern-day home, keeping things safe, smooth, and compliant.
- You're the pillar of the local community and the driving force behind a high-performing team.
- You put out fires before anyone even notices there was smoke.
- You bring the vibe, the service, and the smiles – every shift, every day.
Inherent requirements:
This is a hands-on role that involves manual handling and lifting as part of regular duties (e.g. moving stock, kegs, and deliveries). Applicants must have the ability to perform physical tasks safely and efficiently.
About you:
You already know if this is for you. You’ve got the experience, the presence, and the pride it takes to own a pub like it’s been yours forever. You're not just running a venue - you're living the Publican life.
Hold current industry RSA and RCG qualifications as per state requirements
