Publican | Hinterland Hotel / Motel
Are you a heavyweight hospitality leader ready to take command of a true Gold Coast landmark? The Hinterland Hotel / Motel is searching for its next Publican, a standout operator ready to drive this high-volume, multi-income stream business to new heights.
The "Hinterland" is much more than just a pub. It is the heart of the Nerang community, serving as a social hub for locals, a destination for sports fans, and a home-away-from-home for travelers in our motel suites. We need a Publican with serious "Mine Host" presence, someone who can command a busy bistro floor, drive a high-performing gaming room, and oversee a successful accommodation business, all while keeping the community at the core of every decision.
A day in the life of a Publican:
- You know the locals by name, they reckon you’re one of their own, all while keeping a sharp eye on the P&L.
- You run the place like it’s your own modern-day home, keeping things safe, smooth, and compliant.
- You're the pillar of the local community and the driving force behind a high-performing team.
- You put out fires before anyone even notices there was smoke.
- You bring the vibe, the service, and the smiles – every shift, every day.
Inherent requirements:
This is a hands-on role that involves manual handling and lifting as part of regular duties (e.g. moving stock, kegs, and deliveries). Applicants must have the ability to perform physical tasks safely and efficiently.
