We’re on the hunt for a REAL Publican, someone who lives and breathes hospitality, leads from the front, and brings locals together by creating pub experiences they love.

Package: $90k+ base salary + Super + Bonus Scheme
The Venue: On Wynnum Road, on the main strip of the town centre, the Wynnum Tavern has been a central pillar of the community for years.
We're the perfect place for families to meet for an overdue long lunch, for mates to catch up for a beer and watch the game or to celebrate a milestone birthday or special event.
Our Bistro offers delicious modern cuisine with a nod to our traditional pub favourites. Using fresh ingredients from local suppliers and beyond, we’ve mixed in something for everyone.
The Sports Bar offers a fresh and modern environment with friendly service and a huge selection of ice cold beer and cider on tap. No matter what the occasion, locals and visitors have been choosing Wynnum Tavern as their local favourite for years.
A day in the life of a Publican:
- You know the locals by name, they reckon you’re one of their own, all while keeping a sharp eye on the P&L.
- You run the place like it’s your own modern-day home, keeping things safe, smooth, and compliant.
- You're the pillar of the local community and the driving force behind a high-performing team.
- You put out fires before anyone even notices there was smoke.
- You bring the vibe, the service, and the smiles – every shift, every day.
Inherent requirements:
This is a hands-on role that involves manual handling and lifting as part of regular duties (e.g. moving stock, kegs, and deliveries). Applicants must have the ability to perform physical tasks safely and efficiently.
About you:
You already know if this is for you. You’ve got the experience, the presence, and the pride it takes to own a pub like it’s been yours forever. You're not just running a venue - you're living the Publican life.
Hold current industry RSA and RSG/RCG qualifications as per state requirements
