You’ll join a high-performing Internal Audit team where your expertise directly influences the wellbeing of thousands of team members and millions of customers.

Join a high-performing Internal Audit team to provide independent assurance and advisory services across Endeavour Group. You will play a pivotal role in evaluating risk management and governance, specifically focusing on Safety, Health & Wellbeing (SHW) across retail stores and hotels.

Key Responsibilities

As our subject matter expert, you won’t just find gaps - you’ll bridge them. You will lead high-stakes audits, translate complex data into "aha!" moments for leadership, and act as a trusted advisor to ensure our safety culture is as robust as our brands.

  • Lead high-risk site and system audits to ensure compliance with operational controls and the National Audit Tool (NAT).
  • Maintain SHW and Injury Management Self-Insurance licenses in line with Board and State regulatory requirements.
  • Support the development of a risk-based national audit schedule, factoring in performance data and regulatory enforcement.
  • Present clear, data-driven findings to management and the Audit & Risk Committee; act as a "trusted advisor" to improve safety culture.
  • Identify opportunities to refine Internal Audit processes and tools while mentoring junior team members.
  • Explore the country with regular interstate travel (approx. one week per month) to see our operations in action.
  • We provide a Tool of Trade vehicle to keep you moving.
  • You’re not just a number; you’ll present directly to the Audit & Risk Committee and Executive leadership.
  • Trade the desk for the floor - one day you’re in a retail hub, the next in a premier hotel.

What do we need from you

About You

  • Cert IV in WHS (minimum); Diploma in WHS is highly desirable.
  • Solid experience as a Safety Advisor or Auditor, ideally within a Self-Insured License Organisation or the retail/hospitality sector. 
  • Expertise in National Audit Tool (NAT) and Self-Insurance compliance.
  • Familiarity with Safety, Health, and Wellbeing Management Systems.
  • A knack for problem-solving and a desire to continuously improve how we work.
  • Strong ability to interpret data, solve complex problems, and translate technical safety requirements into actionable business recommendations. Experience in auditing Safety, Health and Wellbeing Management Systems (Desirable). Proficient in the Australian Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing (Desirable)
  • Highly developed verbal and written skills, capable of influencing both operations teams and executive leadership. Ability to interpret and analyse data. Ability to provide recommendations for integrating Safety, Health and Wellbeing management systems into business practices. 
  • Comfortable with regular interstate travel (approx. 1 week per month).
  • Tool of Trade (vehicle) provided
