Reporting to the Head of Safety, Health & Wellbeing Manager, we are looking for an authentic, curious, and pragmatic Safety, Health & Wellbeing Lead to join our team in Queensland. If you are passionate about embedding a culture of care, driving continuous safety improvements, and championing both the physical and mental wellbeing of our teams, this is your opportunity to make a real impact.

Here is a taster of what you can expect in this role:

​​​​​​​As our Safety, Health & Wellbeing Lead, you will provide operational and advisory safety support to our Endeavour Group brands across the region. You will partner directly with state operational teams to integrate safety and wellbeing seamlessly into daily retail and hospitality operations.

• Implement, monitor, and review the Endeavour Group Safety Strategy and Safety Management System to prevent accidents and keep our teams safe.
• Work closely with State, Area, and Venue/Store Managers to address safety challenges, coach teams during onboarding, and facilitate WHS training.
• Conduct Category 1 & 2 incident investigations (and assist with Category 3 & 4), perform root cause analysis, and monitor corrective action plans.
• Drive physical and mental health initiatives and champion wellness programs that care for the whole person.
• Conduct site opening inspections, support regulatory compliance, assist with self-insurance audits, and prepare risk assessments, safety alerts, and work instructions.
• Translate incident data into strategic objectives and proactive risk mitigation strategies.

Now let’s talk about you: 

We are looking for a collaborative, resilient leader who thrives in dynamic environments and brings a humble, practical approach to problem-solving.

• Certificate IV in Workplace Health and Safety (minimum).
• Strong safety expertise with a solid understanding of retail and/or hospitality fundamentals.
• Deep understanding of the Workplace Health & Safety Act, regulations, codes of practice, and hazard management principles.
• Proven track record in root-cause investigation and implementing long-term preventative controls.
• Ability to build strong relationships across complex stakeholder groups, facilitate engaging training, and coach operational teams.
• A current valid driver's licence, with willingness to undertake regular intrastate and occasional interstate travel.

Desirable Criteria:

• Diploma in Workplace Health and Safety.
• ICAM Certification.
• Knowledge of Return to Work / Recovery processes.
