We are looking for an authentic, pragmatic, and proactive Safety, Health & Wellbeing Lead to join our team across Victoria and Tasmania. Here is a taster of what you can expect in this role:

Reporting to the Head of Safety, Health & Wellbeing Manager, you will serve as a trusted operational and advisory safety partner across our VIC and TAS stores and venues. Your core mission is to prevent workplace accidents, ensure statutory compliance, and champion our Safety, Health & Wellbeing Strategy on the ground.

Working autonomously while remaining deeply connected to field operations, you will travel across sites to coach team members, conduct inspections, lead incident investigations, and support wellbeing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with VIC/TAS operational leaders, Brand Managers, and site teams to integrate safety and health seamlessly into daily operations.
• Conduct Category 1 & 2 root-cause investigations (ICAM), assist with Category 3 & 4 reviews, address dangerous occurrences, and implement corrective action plans.
• Drive physical and mental health initiatives across the region, taking a comprehensive, care-first approach to team member wellbeing.
• Support the Endeavour Group Safety Management System, assist with self-insurance audits, oversee regulatory compliance, and engage with WorkSafe and external regulators.
• Analyse incident data and emerging trends to create practical risk assessments, safety alerts, work instructions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Perform new site opening safety inspections, coach area and state teams during onboarding, and deliver interactive WHS training programs.

We are seeking a curious, resilient, and adaptable leader who thrives in a dynamic operational environment. You possess critical thinking skills and the ability to balance statutory requirements with real-world business needs.

Essential Criteria:

• Minimum Certificate IV in Workplace Health & Safety (Diploma preferred).
• ICAM Certification and a current, valid driver’s license.
• Solid WHS background with a strong understanding of retail and/or hospitality environments.
• Sound knowledge of WHS Acts, Regulations, Codes of Practice, and hazard management principles.
• Proven track record in root-cause investigation, strategic safety planning, group facilitation, project execution, and stakeholder engagement.
• Flexibility to undertake regular intrastate travel across VIC/TAS and occasional interstate travel.

Desirable Criteria:

• Knowledge of Return to Work / Injury Management and recovery processes.
