We are seeking a seasoned and strategic Senior Internal Communications Specialist to lead our internal communication efforts and elevate employee engagement in the One Endeavour Transformation team. As a senior member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive internal communication strategies, fostering a culture of transparency and collaboration, and providing guidance and support to junior team members. The Senior Internal Communications Specialist will play a pivotal role in shaping the employee experience and strengthening team ways of working.

Here is a taster of what you can expect in this role

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive internal communication strategies aligned with organisational objectives, values, and culture. Lead the development of communication plans for key initiatives, projects, and organisational changes.
  • Content Leadership: Oversee the creation and distribution of high-quality, engaging content for various internal communication channels, including newsletters, emails, intranet portals, and social collaboration platforms.
  • Leadership Alignment: Partner closely with senior leadership and department heads to ensure alignment of internal communication efforts with business goals and priorities. Provide strategic counsel and support to leaders in effectively communicating with their teams.
  • Employee Engagement: Drive initiatives to enhance employee engagement, morale, and satisfaction through effective communication strategies. Develop programs and campaigns to recognise and celebrate employee achievements, milestones, and contributions.
  • Change Management: Lead internal communication efforts during times of organisational change. Develop change communication plans and messaging to facilitate understanding and acceptance among employees.
  • Measurement and Analysis: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of internal communication initiatives. Conduct regular analysis and reporting to track progress, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.

Qualifications

Now let’s talk about you 

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Organisational Psychology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 - 5 of experience in internal communications, employee engagement, or related roles.
  • Experience in change management communication, including stakeholder analysis, resistance management, and communication planning, is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives and tailor messages for diverse audiences.
  • Proven strategic thinking and planning abilities, with a track record of developing and implementing successful communication strategies in complex organisations.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results on time and within budget.
  • Proficiency in using communication tools and platforms, including intranet systems, email marketing software, and social collaboration tools.
  • Leadership qualities, including the ability to inspire and motivate team members, foster a culture of innovation and excellence, and lead by example.
  • A collaborative and inclusive approach to work, with a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of internal communication.
