The Senior Manager, Service Enablement is a pivotal leadership role responsible for establishing and enforcing robust change and release management standards. This role requires a strong leader with the gravitas to influence senior leadership and set up robust, strict standards across the change and release processes. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in managing complex IT change initiatives, coupled with a deep understanding of release management in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will ensure all changes and releases are managed with the highest levels of quality, control, and risk mitigation. The role will oversee the entire change and release process across the enterprise, from planning and assessment, to implementation and review, while ensuring that IT services are delivered reliably and without disruption.

Here is a taster of what you can expect in this role:

 

  • On the Change Management side, you will be responsible for owning the strategic approach and action plan to manage enterprise-wide technological change, evaluating the risk of change, and providing actionable recommendations to minimise impact to ongoing operations.
  • On the Release Management side, you will be responsible for overseeing the technical governance review of all IT changes proposed within EGL. This pivotal role ensures that all changes meet rigorous technical standards and align with business objectives before approval by the Technical Change Advisory Board (CAB).
  • On the Environment Management side, you will be responsible for overseeing the Oversee the setup, configuration and maintenance of IT environements, including development, testing, staging and production.  This function is pivotal in providing environmental standards and strategies for optimised environment management for project and operational needs

  • 3 - 5  direct reports. This role will also indirectly lead change & release managers in the One Endeavour team.


Qualifications

Now let’s talk about you: 

  • Experience in leading IT change management functions.

  • Extensive understanding of diverse Change Management principles and effective methodologies to execute suitable strategies as needed. 

  • Proven experience in release management, deployment coordination, or program management roles.

  • Proven experience in establishing and managing robust change and release management best practices, procedures and frameworks in a complex environment. 

  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the gravitas to influence and engage senior leadership and key stakeholders. 

  • Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies and project management principles.

  • Demonstrable delivery of large scale transformation and / or change programs and activities.

  • A strong collaboration style with the ability to engage at all levels throughout an organisation, as well as external parties and vendors.

  • A team-oriented and inclusive mindset is essential along with being proactive in identifying and solving problems, and exhibiting an entrepreneurial spirit.

  • Able to develop and deliver tailored change management strategies and plans based on the organisation’s specific needs.

Desirable

  • Previous experience in agile/scrum is preferred.

  • Understanding of the retail environment, and ability to identify improvement opportunities.

  • Familiarity with IT service management (ITSM) processes, frameworks and tools for change and release management.
