About the Role
Senior Sous Chef | Roxby Downs Tavern | Dream big with us!
Welcome to The Roxby! The beating heart of Roxby Downs. We’re the pub locals love, where the beers are cold, the food is hearty, and there’s always something happening, from juicy steaks and crispy schnitzels to DJs, raffles, and good times all around.
Now we’re looking for a Senior Sous Chef who’s truly sous-per to help lead our kitchen crew and keep the good vibes (and the plates) coming!
A day in the life of a Senior Sous Chef:
- Whip up pub classics with flair and help design dishes that keep locals coming back for more
- Mentor and motivate the kitchen team so the energy is as high as the output
- Keep things running smoother than a cold beer on tap, from stock and prep to food safety and service
- Work side-by-side with the Head Chef, bringing your creativity and hustle to every service
What do we need from you
About you:
- You’re a qualified chef with experience leading a busy kitchen
- You love food (obviously), but also the fun and community spirit that comes with running a pub kitchen
- You’ve got passion to spare, whether it’s perfecting the pub schnitty or plating up for a full house on Friday night
- You’re all about people, the team you work with and the guests you serve
