The key objective of OE is to transform how we operate as an independent business and establish supporting technology. The transition will simplify Endeavour’s technology environment and business processes to create greater operating efficiencies within our business, build agility into systems and processes to support innovation and the future growth.

The Vendor Manager (IT) is responsible for managing the commercial aspects and vendor relationships of a program, ensuring the program’s financial performance, contractual obligations, and vendor deliverables align with program goals. This role will involve drafting/negotiating vendor contracts, monitoring commercial terms, tracking program costs, and ensuring compliance with agreed budgets, timelines and service levels. The Vendor Manager will work closely with project teams, procurement, finance, and external vendors to drive program success and financial efficiency.  


About the Role

Vendor Management & Relationship Building:

● Analyse and manage vendor relationships, ensuring that vendors meet performance expectations. 

● Monitor vendor performance, track service level agreements (SLAs), and identify any potential issues. 

● Act as the key liaison between the program team and vendors, ensuring smooth communication and alignment on expectations.

● Support the negotiation, drafting and renewal of vendor contracts, ensuring favorable commercial terms and performance guarantees.

Vendor & Contract Administration:

● Support contract renewals, amendments, and negotiations as needed by coordinating with relevant stakeholders.

● Ensure all vendor documentation is updated and accessible, including contracts, performance reports, and correspondence.

● Support Invoicing & Management responsibilities of Program Commercial Coordinator when required.

Program Financial Reporting & Insights:

● Provide insights into program financial performance to help guide decision-making.

● Assist with the development of financial models, business cases, and investment proposals to support program funding decisions.

● Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiencies, recommending actions to optimize the commercial aspects of the program.

Risk & Compliance Management:

● Identify and manage risks related to vendor performance, contracts, and program costs, developing and implementing mitigation plans.

● Ensure compliance with program governance frameworks, financial policies, and contractual agreements.

● Monitor and escalate any legal or regulatory issues that may arise during the program. 

Vendor & Commercial Performance Tracking:

● Develop and maintain performance metrics and KPIs to track vendor and commercial performance. 

● Ensure vendors adhere to agreed timelines, quality standards, and deliverables, escalating issues as needed to program leadership.

● Monitor and report on the status of commercial agreements and vendor performance to ensure that they meet the program’s objectives.

● Ensure all commercial terms are adhered to, including pricing, payment schedules, penalties, and performance clauses.

● Collaborate with legal and procurement teams to resolve any contractual disputes and mitigate commercial risks.

Collaboration with Stakeholders:

● Work closely with procurement, legal, finance, and project management teams to ensure alignment and smooth execution of commercial activities.

● Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that all vendor-related issues are addressed in a timely manner.

● Assist in the preparation of board papers and executive summaries, providing clear insights into program financials, vendor status, and commercial risks.


What do we need from you

 Essential Experience:

● Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field. 

● 2+ years of experience analysing/supporting commercial processes within a project or program environment.  

● In-depth understanding of commercial contracts, agreements, and negotiations, with the ability to manage vendor and supplier relationships. 

● Experience with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) 

● Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. 

● Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. 

● Detail-oriented with strong organisational and time management skills. 

● Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software.  

Desirable 

● Prior experience within a similar role within the Retail environment.  

● Worked in IT / Technology categories in Procurement or Vendor Management roles

● External Suppliers (Systems Integrator, Vendors and other 3rd Party Suppliers)
