Job Description

Endeavour Group demerged from Woolworths in 2021 and as part of the transition is taking the opportunity to transform how we operate as an independent business and establish supporting technology.

The Vendor/Procurement Lead will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of vendor management and procurement activities within the One Endeavour End-to-End Stores and Venues program. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong negotiation skills and a keen eye for detail. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of optimising vendor relationships, driving cost savings, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services.

● Develop and implement vendor management strategies to optimise supplier relationships and drive business objectives.

● Identify, evaluate, and onboard new vendors to ensure a diverse and competitive supplier base.

● Act as the liaison point between projects, procurement/commercial teams and legal in the negotiation of contracts and agreements, providing the negotiation teams with clear instruction from project and business leads.

● This role may occasionally be required to lead negotiations with vendors to secure favorable terms and pricing.

● Monitor vendor performance and conduct regular vendor evaluations to assess quality, reliability, and compliance with contractual obligations.

● Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand procurement needs and requirements, and develop sourcing strategies aligned to Group Procurement and IT Commercial practices accordingly.

● Lead cross-functional teams in the procurement process, including support with vendor selection, negotiation, and contract management.

● Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure procurement effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.

● Stay informed about market trends, industry best practices, and regulatory changes affecting procurement, and incorporate findings into procurement strategies.

● Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements throughout the procurement process.

● Mentor and train junior procurement team members to enhance their skills and knowledge in vendor management and procurement practices.

● Ownership of all administrative activities required in supporting Procurement and/or IT Commercial in Creating a more sociable future together end-to-end procurement activities for the program e.g. Populating transaction approval forms, raising purchase requisitions, raising Docusign envelopes, etc.


Qualifications

● Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.

● Proven experience in vendor management, Technology procurement, or supply chain management, with at least 6 years of relevant experience.

● Strong negotiation skills and ability to build and maintain effective relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders. Desirable

● Certification in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CSCP, CPIM, CPM) is a plus. Creating a more sociable future together

● Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on driving cost savings and process improvements.

● Demonstrated project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results within tight deadlines.

● Proficiency in using procurement software and tools (e.g., ERP systems, contract management software).

● Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with individuals at all levels of the organisation.
