Are you a hospitality professional ready to take on a leadership role at the heart of Darwin’s social scene? The Cavenagh Hotel is looking for a high-energy, floor-owning Assistant Manager who lives for the buzz of a packed house and a high-performing team.

From our award-winning restaurant to our premier gaming lounge and newly renovated Nightcap accommodation, we deliver an experience that keeps locals coming back. We’re searching for a hands-on leader who thrives in the heart of the action. This is for someone who loves being on the floor, connecting with regulars, energising the team, and driving exceptional standards across every part of the venue.

A day in the life of an Assistant Manager:
- Get to know the locals so well they think you’re part of the crew
- Support the Publican to keep the pub running smoothly, safely, and with a great vibe
- Learn the ropes of being a Publican while leading a team of absolute hospo legends
- Handle hiccups before they turn into headaches
- Bring the energy, the service, and the smiles every single shift
About you:
- You've got at least 3 years of management experience in a high-volume hotel environment.
- You’ve learned from great managers and now you’re ready to step up
- You’ve got the confidence, pride, and people skills to be the face of the pub when the boss is away
- You’ve got a current RSA/RSG and NT Gaming Machine Managers Licence as per state requirements
Inherent requirements:
This is a hands-on role that involves manual handling and lifting as part of regular duties (e.g. moving stock, kegs, and deliveries). Applicants must have the ability to perform physical tasks safely and efficiently.
